First thing I noticed in the cottage was... where is the TV ?? It was a shock to the system for me, I admit I'm a bit of a TV junkie...lol! I survived, it encouraged me to disconnect, read and relax! Especially when theirs no reception on your phone either!
It was freezing cold and had high hopes that the fire would be going...NOT! no fire starters, no kindling, no success with the fire. We froze for most of the night until I grabbed the extra doona and woolly jumper.
On Saturday we took a drive out to Mansfield but somehow ended up in Lake Eildon. So much for reading the signs...lol! We finally made it to Mansfield perfect timing, the sun had just come out. We had a stroll thru the shops and finished with a spot of lunch.
We couldn't deal with another freezing cold night, and desperate to get the fire going, so we called into reception to see if anyone was available to light the fire. The receptionist handed me a box of fire starters and kindling... BINGO! Michelle got the fire going!!!
This is exactly what I had envisioned, warm cosy cottage sitting around a fire, whilst nibbling on antipasto. Perfecto!
I even remembered to take some pics of my outfit!
